Transportation Information
Southwest California is framed by the Santa Ana Mountains to the west, Highway 74 to the north, the Menifee Valley to the east and the San Diego County line to the south. It straddles the I-15 and I-215 freeways which run north and south through Southern California.
Airports
Southwest California is served by four major airports, located within an hour to an hour and a half from the region.

- Ontario International
- Los Angeles International
The area also is served by three local commuter airports that accommodate corporate jets and/or commuter planes.

French Valley Airport is located just north of Temecula and east of Murrieta on Winchester Road. The Riverside County Economic Development Agency manages the airport and also provides development assistance to relocating or expanding businesses in the unincorporated areas of Riverside County. It is a 24-hour facility with a 6,000 foot runway that can accommodate up to a G-2 rated aircraft, including light to medium jets. There are convenient ground support services, on-field fuel service with Jet-A and 11LL fuel, maintenance and aircraft storage, and over 250 hangars and tie-downs for most general aviation aircraft. The Terminal Building has a lobby and restaurant. There is no indigenous airfreight business at the airport, but the facility can accommodate freight deliveries. The airport is not served by any commercial airlines, but there are charter services available.
Southwest California is also conveniently located to three deep water ports.
